He was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Morton, Wash. Ronald was the youngest of 12 children born to Grant and Sena Stiltner. He was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Morton, Wash. Ronald was the youngest of 12 children born to Grant and Sena Stiltner. He married the love of his life, Billye Darlene White, June 10, 1952, and they would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this June. Ronald attended Morton schools and graduated from Morton High School in 1949. He was an exceptional athlete playing basketball, baseball and football. As quarterback, Ronald lead his teammates to victories with a 7-0 season. He attended Centralia College on a scholarship for a semester, but was unable to complete his studies when his father passed away during his first year of college. He returned to Morton where he went to work for the Washington State Highway Department. In 1956, Ronald was transferred to the Chehalis office where he retired with 30 years of service at age 50 in 1982. Ronald's hobbies included camping with his family and participating in bowling and pool leagues. His weekly card games with his brother, Forrest, were full of competitive banter. Ronald and Billye enjoyed dancing at the Chehalis Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose, where they were members for many years. Ronald played the guitar and sang all of his favorite county western tunes with family and friends. He was especially happy when his three daughters all learned to play the guitar and he would beam with pride during the family singing sessions. Ronald's life long passion was fishing with his family and although he acted like he was upset that Billye out fished him, he was truly proud of his wife and all of her accomplishments. Ronald was a man who was known to love animals and he leaves behind his two beloved Yorkies, Sassy and Sadie. He is survived by his wife, Billye; three daughters, Jeanette Graham (Phil), Janet Kreutzer and Jane Pollin (Harold); son-in-law, Mike Kreutzer; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Longmire; brother-in-law, Victor Talbott; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 1 p.m., at The Stiltner Memorial Cemetery, on Tilton View Dr., Morton, Wash. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Stiltner Memorial Cemetery, c/o Sharon Henrie PO Box 134, Morton, WA 98356.
