Ron was born January 14, 1936 at Geneva, Nebraska, to Harry and Therese (Wilhelm) Hulse. Ron attended school in Geneva, Nebraska through the fifth grade. Read More	Ronald M. "Ron" Hulse, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Saunders Medical Center, Wahoo, Nebraska. Ron was born January 14, 1936 at Geneva, Nebraska, to Harry and Therese (Wilhelm) Hulse. Ron attended school in Geneva, Nebraska through the fifth grade. His father was the Fillmore County Sherriff, so the family lived in the court house. When he was 10 years old, Ron experienced the death of his father. The family then moved to Ohiowa, Nebraska where Ron's mom accepted a teaching position. A few years later, they moved to Bruning, Nebraska. Ron attended Geneva (NE.) High School where he played baseball and basketball, and graduated in 1953. Ron worked to support himself and pay for his education at University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1957. He went on to earn Masters Degrees in Education and Physical Education in 1963. Ron taught Biology and General Science, and coached many sports at Daykin, Nebraska for one year and served in the Army National Guard Reserves at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Ron spent 12 years teaching and serving as High School Principal at Geneva, Nebraska. His students found him to be very approachable and he was well respected by them, despite his infamous pop-quizzes. In 1971, Ron moved to Wahoo, Nebraska as the High School Principal. He retired from Education in 1987. He and Pat then owned and operated the Coast To Coast Store, Wahoo, Nebraska for five years and Ron concurrently held the position of Saunders County Superintendent of Schools. Following his second retirement, Ron spent the next four years working for a company in Yutan, Nebraska driving new military recruits to their recruiting stations in surrounding states. Ron was tremendously proud of his family. He had a great sense of humor which always made playing board games and card games with his family an interesting experience. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping, especially by the water. Pheasant hunting and fishing were some of favorite past times. Ron is survived by: wife, Patsy Hulse of Wahoo, Nebraska; children, Kathleen (George) Parris of Audobon, Iowa, Michael Hulse of Wahoo, Nebraska and Trish (Dave) Albrecht of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Morgan Parris, Lauren Albrecht, Ethan Albrecht; sister, Rosemary Dageforde of Hebron; mother-in-law Helen Dittmer of Geneva, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Verienne Hulse of Emporia, Kansas and Vicki (Terry) Enghauser of Davenport, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Interment was in Sunrise Cemetery. Wahoo, Nebraska.
