Description	:	MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Ronald R. Tietge, 70, of Muscatine, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Carrington Place. As per Ron's wishes, his body has been cremated and a private burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Paul Ostrem of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate the service. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Read More	MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Ronald R. Tietge, 70, of Muscatine, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Carrington Place. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Iowa City VA Hospital, Iowa City Hospice, or Carrington Place. Ron was born on February 18, 1937, in Muscatine, the son of Russell and Eunice Bramble Tietge. He was united in marriage to Nancy L. Dusenberry on August 13, 1960, in Muscatine. Ron graduated from Muscatine High School, Class of 1955, and attended Muscatine Junior College from 1955 to 1957, receiving his Association of Arts Degree. He loved all sports, the Chicago Cub's, and throughout his life he was very active and loved playing tennis. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. Ron owned and operated Ron's Place on the corner of Mulberry and Fifth Street. Ron then worked as a salesman, first in auto parts, then Mayflower Moving Company, and finally in real estate. Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Tietge of Muscatine; two daughters, LuAnn T. Hansen and husband, Steve, of Champaigne, Illinois, and Tracy Tietge of Champaigne, Illinois; two grandchildren, Allison and Graham Hansen, at home; his mother, Eunice Brossart of Muscatine; one brother, Dennis Tietge and wife, Janice, of Illinois City, Illinois; and his mother-in-law, Helen Dusenberry of Muscatine. Ron was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Glen Brossart. No relation
