Description	:	Ronnie was an extremely remarkable person. He was very easy going, always trying to please and accomidate everyone around him, some times to much - to the point some people took advantage of him. Most of the time he knew it but seemed to take it in stride and kept on being Ronnie . Ronnie had a rocky start to life. Read More	Ronnie was an extremely remarkable person. Most of the time he knew it but seemed to take it in stride and kept on being Ronnie . Ronnie had a rocky start to life. It was not as bad as some but a few problems he was born with a heart murmur (uneven rhythm). The doctors said he would out grow it and I guess he did. As far as I know he didn't have any heart problems.When he was very young he developed Polio. The doctors found it in its very early stages and he had no ill effects later in life. Anyone that knew Ronnie will tell you, you almost never saw him mad or upset. He always seemed to take things in stride. In the spring of 1999 he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. He didn't get upset then either. When the doctor gave him the prognosis, he looked over at my wife and said "damn that's heavy". He came through the surgery with no loss of mobility, physical or mental. A miracle right there! The fall of that year they found that another tumor had formed. It was not malignant this time but it had to come out. He couldn't survive if they left it alone. They did a second surgery but this time they nicked a blood vessel and he lost some of his short term memory and some mobility. He had to retire from the Sevier County Road Department. He had been there for over twenty years. Most of those years he graded roads all over Sevier Co. and loved his job and helping the citizens with small jobs on there places (sometimes on the sly). Sometimes they would give him fresh produce or a batch of homemade cookies, some times home canned goods but never did he expect anything in return for these favors. He was just being Ronnie . In October of 2010 Ronnie was diagnosed another Malignant brain tumor this time A very aggresive tumor that was unresponsive to radiation and cemo treatments they did surgery the middle of December and Gave him about four months .Ronnie passed away April 6, 2011 about A week short of the four months they gave him . Ronnie was A wonderful and very generous person . I feel very proud to have had the priveledge to know Ronnie and even prouder to have been his brother.
