Mr Burris was born in Union County, SC August 27, 1949, a son of the late Adam Lee Burris and Eula Mae Brannon Burris. He was a Veteran of the US Army; a textile worker and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving in addition to his wife Wanda, are three daughters: Marie B. Stanley (Jamie) of Greer, Joie Lister (Ray) of Greer and Bailey Burris of Union; a son, Kevin Poole of Greer; three sisters: Lynn B.Ivey (Ben) of Union, Sandra Vinson (Jimmy) and Marlene Jennings (Clyde) all of Union; a brother, Ted Burris of Union; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr Burris was predeceased by a brother, David Burris. Services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2011 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Kenny Weaver. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Scotty Burris, Mark Ivey, Neal Burris, Ronnie Garner, Everette Greene, Glenn Berry and Shane Jennings. The following are asked to assemble at the chapel at 2:45 PM to form the Honoray Escort: Steve Ward, Eddie Berry, Dennis Gault, Lewis Gault, Roger Davis, Allen Owens, Ronald Maness, Buck Kendrick, Larry Evans, Jackie Knox, Lendale Knox, Brent Knox, Robert Queen.
