Though in failing health for many years she suffered a nervous breakdown about a month ago from the effects of which her enfeebled constitution could not rally. She bore her years of suffering cheerfully and was prepared when the angel of death appeared. Her death came peacefully. Rosa Belle Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Nelson was born in Hooper, November 8, 1889, and her death on July 16, 1931, made her 41 years, 8 months and 8 days of age. She grew up here and in her childhood was a regular attendant of the Methodist Sunday school and church. On September 7, 1909, she was married to Hardy C. Koplin of Scribner, to which union five children were born, of whom three are living. After a two years residence in Scribner, Hooper again became her home for a number of years, and then followed a residence of about eleven years in Fremont during which time she united with the Presbyterian church, and joined the Pythian Sisters lodge of which she held the head office for a term. Three years ago the family moved to Washington state in hopes that it's climate might benefit her health. About two years ago she and family returned to Hooper. Mrs. Koplin was highly esteemed by the many friends she made in the places she made her home and all friends share their sorrow with the bereaved family and close relatives. The close surviving relatives are the husband, three sons, Elwyn, Eugene and Duane; her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Nelson, of this city; three sisters and five brothers, Mrs. Susie May, Mrs. W. F. Reinhold, Mrs. C. L. Sampson F. H. Nelson and Ray Nelson of Hooper; S. L. Nelson of Meadow Grove and George and James Nelson of Washington State. Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon, with short services first at the home and at 2:30 from the Methodist church, Rev. E. S. Pangbur.
