Read More	Ada Residents Proud of 100th Descendant by Verda Pifer (Lima News Correspondent) ADA - Mr. and Mrs. James Edgar Stevenson, for many years residents of Alger but now living in Ada, are proud of their 100th descendant, David Lee Miller, who was born Sept. 20 in Lima Memorial Hospital one day after his great-grandfather's birthday. James Stevenson was 86 on Sept. 19. Mrs. Stevenson, the former Rosa Wells, was 86 years old on Dec. 24. They were married Dec. 13, 1900 and have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. For the past year, the Stevensons' have made their home with a daughter, Mrs. John Brewer in Ada. Recently, Mr. Stevenson entered a Lima hospital. David Lee's mother is the former Louella Wilson, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy L. Wilson and makes her home with her at Rt. 3, Kenton. The child's father is Ronald H. Miller serving with the Army in Korea. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller, 706 Saratoga, Lima. David Lee has nine grandparents living. James and Rosa Stevenson have eight children, 29 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren for a total of 100. They are looking forward to a great-great-grandchild soon. Their children are: Mrs. Golda Kimble, Fostoria; James (Bud), Fostoria; C. V. (Dick), Mrs. Harry (Grace) Obenour, Mrs. Clyde (Freda) Leedy, and Frank, all of Lima; Mrs. John H. (Edna) Brewer of Ada; and Mrs. Dorothy L. Wilson of Kenton Rt. 3. James is last of a family of six and Rosa has four sisters and one brother living. They are: Frank Wells, Toledo; Mrs. Alice Quill, Mrs. Lou Dempster, Mrs. Frances Rarey and Miss Winnie Wells, all of Kenton. (published in The Lima News, Sunday, January 21, 1962) ------------------------------------------------------ Rosabelle Stevenson ALGER - Mrs. Rosabelle Stevenson, 82, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Cedna Brewer, Ada. Born Dec. 24, 1880, in Indiana, she was a daughter of Thomas and Lucinda (Vermillion) Wells. Her husband, Edward, died in 1962. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Golda Kimble of Fostoria, Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of Kenton, Mrs. Freda Leedy and Mrs. Grace Obenour, both of Lima, and Mrs. Edna Brewer of Ada; three sons, Victor of Lima, James of Fostoria, and Frank of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Dempster, Mrs. Noble Rarey, Mrs. Alice Quill and Miss Winnie Wells, all of Kenton; a brother, Frank Wells of Toledo; 29 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Stevenson was a member of the Methodist Church, Alger. Rev. John H. Elwood will conduct services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hanson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
