Mrs. Reinland was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Underwood, to Heinrich and Christina (Baurle) Kapp. Her parents ran the Meat Market and Mercantile in Underwood. She attended school in Underwood until the eighth grade and Graduated from Columbia Union High School in 1930. She married high school sweetheart Andrew Reinland on Nov. 19, 1931, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in White Salmon. The couple lived in Underwood before moving to Moscow, Idaho, in 1943. They ran sawmills all over the Northwest, Wyoming and Idaho. While in Evanston, Wyo., Mrs. Reinland went to college, earned a nursing certificate and began her career as a caregiver. Throughout her career, she cared for many people in many places. After Mr. Reinland died on Nov. 19, 1975, Mrs. Reinland moved to Mt. Vernon and then on to Spokane, where she died. Her hobbies included quilting, needlework, crocheting and gardening. Her kids and grandkids were her life. Mrs. Reinland was very independent and saw many things and lots of chances in her lifetime. Mrs. Reinland is survived by daughter Rosalie Rosenbach, Gig Harbor; son Max Reinland, Spokane; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons George and Andrew Jr.; husband Andrew; sisters Maria. Judy and Henrietta; and brothers Henry, Carl and Max. A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Reinland was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in White Salmon on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at 1 p.m., with Father Ron Maag officiating
