She died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Manor Care Health Service in West Des Moines, Iowa. Lois was an only child for 17 years then a sister came into the family, which made her so proud. Rosa Lois Morgan, age 98, was born April 27, 1914 to Alva Lennie and Ava Pearl [Blakesley] Craig near Saline, Missouri. She died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Manor Care Health Service in West Des Moines, Iowa. Lois was an only child for 17 years then a sister came into the family, which made her so proud. Lois attended country school by riding a horse that was also her playmate. They spent many hours just riding. She joined the New Saline Church and in November of 1931 was baptized in Little River, but the ice had to be broken first. She graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1932 and then helped her parents on the farm. She married her high school sweetheart, John Morgan, on August 19, 1936. They enjoyed 64 years together, both working on the farm. They were blessed with daughter, Jonda Joyce in 1940 and son, Carlos Craig in 1946. They enjoyed their children and all attended the Weldon Christian Church. They lived around Weldon all their married lives. Lois moved to Des Moines, Iowa after John's death in 1990. Lois was a Sunday School teacher several years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, filling several chairs, besides Worthy Matron. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband John in 1990; and daughter Joyce in 1993. Survivors include her son, Craig Morgan of Ames, Iowa; her wonderful granddaughter, Cindy Fischer and husband Tom of West Des Moines; two great grandsons, John Fischer and wife Alyssa and Pete Fischer, who were so good to her and whom she worshiped; sister Margaret Hullinger and husband Gerald of Yakima, Washington; nieces and nephew, Moming, Rick, Kathi, and Sheli and their families; and many other relatives.
