Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Bluff Creek Cemetery, Northwest of Boone with Pastor Sarah Karber officiating. A time of visitation will be held prior to graveside service at Walter ~ Schroeder Funeral Home, Fifth & Story Streets in Boone from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Rosalie was born on May 2, 1933, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Ruby Pearl (Carpenter) Flockhart. She graduated from Boone High School in 1951. On July 11, 1952, Rosalie married Garold D. Becker in Boone, Iowa. The couple lived in Boone until 1960, then moved to Spencer. Through the years Rosalie worked in the bookkeeping departments at Montgomery Ward in Ft. Dodge, Sears Roebuck in Sioux City and at the Spencer Dairy Company in Spencer. Rosalie and her husband owned and operated the Standard Service Station in Spencer from 1968 to 1993. Her last employment was at the Grand Diner in Spencer, where she worked from 1992 to 2005. Rosalie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer and member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Spencer. She enjoyed playing bingo with family and friends. Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ellen Blaskey; her infant daughter, Juanita and her infant son, Robert. She is survived by her husband, Garold D. Becker of Spencer; her 4 children: Garold Becker II (Lisa); LuAnn Becker (Special Friend, Gary Steece); Robert Becker (Lois) and Philip Becker (Kathy) all of Spencer, Iowa; her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; her sister, LaVonne Mortenson (Chuck) of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; her brother-in-law, Edward Blaskey of Dayton, Iowa; her sister-in-law, Barbara (JoAnn) Cartwright and numerous other relatives.
