She was raised in the Eureka area, attending local elementary schools, and graduated from Fortuna High School with the Class of 1956. She had been employed by Eureka Boiler Works and Eureka Oyster Farms as a secretary for the past 11 years. A past president of the Lafayette Elementary School PTA. Services will be held at the Chapel of the Ferns Cooper Mortuary Thursday, June 1, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James M. Brown of the Eureka First Presbyterian Church officiating.
