Description	:	Rosalind Marie Knight, 86, of Green Mountain, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Central Iowa Health Care in Marshalltown. She was born Rosalind Marie Stanley on June 4, 1929 in Lacona, Iowa to Guy and Clydine (Sarah) Neer Stanley. Rosalind graduated from Lacona High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Darrell “Gus” Dittmer on April 21, 1949 and they had two children together; Kathleen (Dittmer) Airey and Roger Dittmer. Gus passed away on December 26, 1977. Read More	Rosalind Marie Knight, 86, of Green Mountain, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Central Iowa Health Care in Marshalltown. She was born Rosalind Marie Stanley on June 4, 1929 in Lacona, Iowa to Guy and Clydine (Sarah) Neer Stanley. Rosalind graduated from Lacona High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Darrell “Gus” Dittmer on April 21, 1949 and they had two children together; Kathleen (Dittmer) Airey and Roger Dittmer. Gus passed away on December 26, 1977. Rosalind had worked for Producer and Savings Bank in Green Mountain as a cashier until retirement in 1987. After retirement, she was united in marriage to Howard Knight on May 30, 1987. Rosalind and Howard loved to travel throughout the United States together. She was a member of the Green Mountain United Church of Christ and women’s fellowship group, Lions Club, VFW Auxiliary in Marshalltown and the OWO Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, ceramics, painting, tending to her flower gardening and visiting with family and friends. Left to honor her memory is her children; Kathleen (Raymond) Airey and Roger (Rosemary) Dittmer. Step children: Debra (Robert) Miller and Greg (Ruby) Knight. Grandchildren: Lisa (Eric) Schmidt, Michelle (Mark) Wagner, Andrew (Rachel) Dittmer, Laura (Michael) Wallace, Adam (Laurie) Dittmer, Jason (Kris) Miller, John Miller and Amber (Sean) Pachett, as well as 12.5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Chauncey (Louise) Stanley, sister in law Lorain Ohnemus and many nieces, nephews and friends. Rosalind is preceded in death by her first husband Gus as well as her second husband Howard, parents Guy and Clydine, brother Donald Stanley, sister in law Janice Stanley and brother in law Floyd Ohnemus. Funeral services for Rosalind will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Mountain United Church of Christ in Green Mountain. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
