Description	:	Rosalind “Rosie” Dokulil, age 92 of Wahoo, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Wahoo. She was born to Christian and Alice (Anderson) Lindquist in Swedeburg, Nebraska on April 20, 1920, the tenth of eleven children. She grew up on a farm in the area and graduated from Ceresco High School in 1937. She married Stanley Dokulil on September 5, 1942 while Stan was on leave from serving in World War II. Read More	Rosalind “Rosie” Dokulil, age 92 of Wahoo, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Wahoo. She was born to Christian and Alice (Anderson) Lindquist in Swedeburg, Nebraska on April 20, 1920, the tenth of eleven children. She grew up on a farm in the area and graduated from Ceresco High School in 1937. She married Stanley Dokulil on September 5, 1942 while Stan was on leave from serving in World War II. They observed their 70th Wedding Anniversary last week. They had two children, Linda in 1947 and Lyle in 1952. In 1959, Rosie opened a women’s clothing store in Wahoo, Friendly Fashions, which she owned and operated until selling to a friend in 1977 because of health issues. Rosie enjoyed playing the piano for the Senior Citizens Band for 8 years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Rosie was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved teaching and playing various games with all of them. As the grandchildren came to learn, if you wanted to win, play Grandpa, but if you wanted to beat Grandma, you’d better bring you’re A-game! She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Rosie is survived by her husband Stanley of Wahoo; son and daughter-in-law Lyle and Heidi Dokulil of Payson, AZ; daughter Linda Laessle of Lincoln; brothers Lawrence (Colleen) Lindquist of Wahoo; sister Hildur Benting of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren Andy (Sheila) Dokulil of Wahoo, Jon (Aimee) Dokulil of Camarillo, CA, Hannah (Will) Newberry of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandsons Adam and Matthew Dokulil of Wahoo. She was preceded in death by brothers Theodore, Anton, Clarence, Harland, Oscar and Dorthis Lindquist; sisters Clara Nelson and Florence Brodd. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
