Rosalyn Virginia Wells: Young Bride of 18 Died Monday West of Greene Mrs. William Van Horn, Formerly Rosalyn Wells, Victim of Heart Attack, Married Last June. A heart attack was fatal Monday morning to Mrs. William Van Horn, Jr. age 18, five miles southwest of Greene, young bride of only seven months. Although she had been more or less troubled with heart illness since she was 11 years old, seven years ago, the young woman had apparently been as well as usual even until the morning of her death. She was in Greene Saturday and had been around the house Sunday without complaining of feeling badly. Mr. Van Horn arose Monday morning, fixed the fire and did the chores on the farm, where the couple lived with Mr. Van Horn's father, William Van Horn, Sr. When he returned to the house he found that his wife had died even apparently before making an effort to arise. Mrs. Van Horn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wells, who live six miles west and one mile south of Greene. She was born in Crosby, Minnesota, and moved to Clarksville with her parents and brother, Howard, and lived there until two years ago when the family moved to the farm west of Greene. The brother is in the United States army and is in camp at Vancouver, Washington. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from the brother. An effort is being made to reach the youth through the Red Cross home service division of which Paul C. Scheaffer of Allison is Butler county chairman. Marriage Notes for William Van Horn and Rosalyn Wells: Van-Horn Wells Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wells of Bristow announce the marriage of their daughter, Rosalyn Virginia, to William H. Van Horn, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Van Horn, Sr. of Greene, at Lancaster, Missouri, on June 27, 1942. The Rev. Oscar Rush, pastor of the First Baptist church officiated.
