Crocker passed away Wednesday, March [12] 1909, her death occurring after an extended illness, at the home of her son, Howard Crocker, at Clarksville. Rosanna E. Fenner was born at Eads Grove settlement, November 30, 1844, and grew to womanhood in this county, where the greater part of her life was spent. In 1863 she was united in marriage at the home of her parents to John Martindale Crocker and three children born of their union survive her death: Howard and Ernest of Clarksville, and Mrs. Mary Beckner of Edgewood. Mr. Crocker's death occurred on July 26, 1902. He was a member of the Christian clergy and at one time chaplain at the state institution at Anamosa. Mrs. Crocker was a woman of [deeply] religious character and closely associated with her husband in the work of the church. Possessed of the attributes inherent in the unselfishness and nobility of her Christian womanhood, her influence made for the accomplishment of much good in the lives of those with whom she came in contact. Her death is the source of a sincere grief to the many friends in the community where she for so many years made her home. Her last visit to this city was made during the early part of December and she went from Manchester to the home of her son in Clarksville, where the illness from which she was at that time suffering culminated in her death Wednesday. The body of Mrs. Crocker was brought to Manchester for interment Friday morning and the funeral services were held from the Baptist church, Rev. Weiseman of Greeley officiating.
