Description	:	Rose Ann (Goette) Larson, 81, Rosholt and formerly of Watertown, SD died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at a care center at Rosholt. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown with visitation prior to the service starting at 12:00 p.m.. Pastor Dennis Hansen will officiate with Marcia Jelsma as the organist and Judy Everson as soloist. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Pallbearers will be Rose’s grandchildren. Rose Ann (Hills) Larson was born June 24, 1931, the first child of Leona T. (Hills) Herberg at Beardsley, Minnesota. She was raised by her grandparents James and Theresia Hills of Beardsley. Rose grew up and attended school at Beardsley and Browns Valley, Minnesota. In 1948 at Ortonville, Minnesota she was united in marriage with Willard William-Carl Goette of Sisseton, South Dakota. To this marriage five children were born. Willard died in 1981. She married Francis Dale Larson of Watertown in Mitchell, South Dakota. They lived in several locations before settling in Watertown. Francis died on January 3, 2008. Rose was employed in many occupations in Minneapolis, Sisseton, Pierre, Redfield, Aberdeen and Watertown. She considered one of her greatest achievements was to own and operate her own nursing home for several years. Most of her life was spent caring for family or others who needed assistance. The last few years Rose enjoyed being a part of her church activities helping at different events as her health would permit. She enjoyed visiting and having coffee or lunch with her friends whom she cherished. There was much sadness in her life but perhaps the greatest was the sudden death of her second born son, Kenneth, in 1999. Survivors include her children, Larry (Susan) Goette of Rosholt, SD, Marlene (the late James) Reilly of Watertown, Richard (Cindy) Goette of Watertown, and Deb (Larry) Fox of Ankeny, IA; daughter-in-law, Patty (Feist) Goette of Aberdeen; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Hills Herberg; her husband; her son; and her sister, Darlene. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel
