Mother of Howard Logan and Oscar Leon Condon. Rebekah Lodge Star 8. Lot owner: Rose Condon Rose Bertha Snider, daughter of Casper and Amanda Snider, was born at Lushton, Neb., September 16, 1877. She passed away January 18, 1953, at Central City, Neb., where she had made her home a few months. She was united in marriage to William Nathaniel Condon March 25, 1896, at Henderson, Neb. There were born to this union ten children, seven sons and three daughters. Mr. Condon, two daughters and one son preceded her in death. Those who survive her are one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Owens of Lincoln; six sons, Clarence N. of Central City, Oscar L. of Lincoln, Roy R. of Chino, Cal., H. Logan of Fairmont, Captain W. Wayne of U.S. Air Force, stationed in England and Donald L. of Central City; one sister, Mrs. Alice Condon of Exeter; one brother, C. Lee Snider of McCool; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was a member of the Federated church of Fairmont, coming with her family by letter from the United Brethren church of Lushton in 1922. She always took an active part in the activities of the church until her health failed. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, the Fairmont Woman's Club, the Rebekah lodge, the Mount Moriah Chapter No. 30 of the Eastern Star and the Sunset Club. She wished it said of her," I have done what I could. My neighbors know me best." With all the activity outside of the home, her home was never neglected, as she was a devoted mother and wife. Most any day she could be seen working among her flowers, which she loved. Mr. and Mrs. Condon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary March 25, 1946. The funeral service was held at the Federated church in Fairmont at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, Rev. Willard F. Payne officiating. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
