Description	:	Rose Blanche (Gosselin) Mousseau, 96, of Carpenter Street, Attleboro, died on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Albert Francis Mousseau to whom she was married on July 27, 1931 and who died on October 13, 1990. Read More	Rose Blanche (Gosselin) Mousseau, 96, of Carpenter Street, Attleboro, died on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Albert Francis Mousseau to whom she was married on July 27, 1931 and who died on October 13, 1990. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on June 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Damase and Rose Delia (Maynard) Gosselin. She resided in Attleboro for most of her life and attended and graduated from St. Joseph's Parochial School in Attleboro and Dearborn Business School. A woman of strong religious beliefs, Mrs. Mousseau was the longest active member of St. Joseph's Church in Attleboro where she had been a communicant for more than 90 years. She was the recipient of the Marion Medal in 1975 in honor of her devotion to her parish. Mrs. Mousseau and her late husband were the owners and operators of two I.G.A. Supermarkets in Attleboro until 1942 when they sold their businesses on Carpenter Street and South Main Street. She later worked for many years at the First National Store and still later for the A & P Supermarkets for many years until her retirement. She was a member and served as president for many years of the Attleboro Council of Conseil Jeanne d'Arc Union of St. Jean Baptist. A longtime volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, she was recently awarded her "5,500 hour pin" in recognition for 5,500 hours of volunteer service to the community hospital. She was nominated by her coworkers and fellow volunteers for the J. C. Penny Golden Rule Award for which she was bestowed the honor in May 1999. She was also the recipient of the "A.C.E.S. Award" from Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She leaves a son: Albert O. Mousseau of Lewiston, Idaho; two daughters: Sister Cecile I. Mousseau of the Holy Union Order of Pawtucket and currently affiliated with St. Cecilia's Church in Pawtucket and Elaine M. Courbron of Attleboro; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Annette Mousseau and was the sister of the late Conrad Gosselin. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 208 South Main Street – Route 152, Attleboro.
