Mrs. Fitch was born in Hannah, SC, a daughter of the late Mary Evans Hanna and Sheriff John Hanna. She was a member of the Pamplico United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women's Circle and the Eastern Star. She was employed with Marsh Plywood Company, a Tupperware Distributor and owner of the Rose Petal Boutique until her retirement. She was a lifelong resident of Pamplico. Mrs. Fitch was born in Hannah, SC, a daughter of the late Mary Evans Hanna and Sheriff John Hanna. She was a member of the Pamplico United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women's Circle and the Eastern Star. She was employed with Marsh Plywood Company, a Tupperware Distributor and owner of the Rose Petal Boutique until her retirement. She was a lifelong resident of Pamplico. The last six years of her life she resided at the Heritage Home of Florence where they provided her with loving and wonderful care. Surviving are three daughters, Priscilla F. Pope of Clemson, SC, Pamela F. Saverance of Florence, SC and Beverly F. Dowdy of Pamplico, SC; three sons, John C. Fitch of Sumter, SC, Barry E. Fitch of Saluda, SC and Donald F. Fitch of Sumter, SC; sister, Johnnie Mae Harrell of Florence, SC; brother, Jethro Hanna of Myrtle Beach, SC; 13 grandchildren (Adair Hoover, Christy Pope, Tripp Saverance, Todd Saverance, Trent Saverance, Tiffany Taylor, Jonathan Fitch, Taylor Fitch, Bailey Fitch, Wyatt Fitch, Danielle Fitch, Angel Shamlin, and Shane Dowdy); 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fitch was predeceased by three brothers, Jonathan Hanna, Jerl Hanna and Joel Hanna; sister, Mary Lyerly Gary. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Sunday Oct. 18, 2009 in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, near Hannah, SC, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
