Hotovy Services for Rose F. Hotovy of Dwight were conducted Monday morning, Dec. 20, from Dwight Assumption Church, Dwight. Mrs. Hotovy, 88, died Fridaym Dec. 17, in David City. Rose F. Hotovy, the daughter of Frank and Mary Moravec Helman, was born Feb. 16, 1905, at Plasi. She moved from a farm southwest of Plasi to a farm south of Brainard. She attended Holy Trinity School at Brainard. On Feb. 28, 1927, she was united in marriage to Ludvik F. Hotovy of Dwight at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard. Six children were born to this union. The couple was engaged in farming and lived 32 years on a farm near Dwight. In 1959 they retired and moved into Dwight. Mr. Hotovy died in 1978 and Mrs. Hotovy continued to make her home in Dwight. She was an active member of the Assumption Catholic Church, was an Altar Society officer and a past 4-H Leader. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-laws, Leonard and Donna Hotovy and Julious and Connie Hotovy, both of Dwight; two daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Leonard Sisal and Arlene and Dennis Stastny of Bee; five brothers, Adolph Helman of Ulysses, Jim Helman of Bellevue, Wash., Frank and Joe Helman of Brainard and Fred Helman of David City; four sisters, Mary Sypal of Omaha, Agnes Swanda and Mrs. Leo (Alice) Behne of Brainard, and Lillian Brym of Lincoln; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ludvik F. Hotovy, Sr.; infant son, Sylvester; a son and daughter-in-law, Lou and Ramona; a brother, Albert Helman; and two sisters, Helen Krenk and Amelia Novak.
