Read More	Rose Grinstead September 4, 1952 - December 30, 2021 Obituary for Rose Grinstead Rose Grinstead, 69, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on December 30, 2021 at the Bloomfield Care Center surrounded by her family and lifelong best friend. She was born on September 4, 1952 in Bloomfield to Floyd and Golda Garmon Huggins. She graduated from Davis County High School in 1970, and later graduated from Northeast Missouri State (Truman State) with a teaching degree. She was a Title 1 Math and Reading teacher with Davis County Community Schools for 25 years, retiring in 2011. Her teaching touched the lives of many students over the years. Rose was also active in extracurricular activities in the school and especially enjoyed being a prom sponsor. On August 12, 1977, Rose married Rusty Grinstead in Bloomfield. The couple enjoyed raising their two children, Ryan and Ranae, and attending the many activities they participated in throughout their school years. When grandchildren came into Rose's life, she spent as much time with them as she could. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing, fishing, and decorating cakes. She is survived by her husband, Rusty; son, Ryan (Rosa) Grinstead of Ottumwa; daughter, Ranae (Juan) Lujan of Bloomfield; twelve grandchildren, Lydia, Claire, Ally, Shelby, Bryan, Emily, Jonathan, Cody, Adrian, Brandon, Lantz, Hadley; seven siblings, Oma Munn, Dwight (Jacquie) Huggins, Ron (Pat) Huggins, Harold Huggins, Max (Tonya) Huggins, Gary Joe (Pam) Huggins, Stan (Deb) Huggins; five sisters-in-law, Marietta Huggins, Janice Huggins, Sue Myers, Cody (Mike) Kerby, Jody Allen; a brother-in-law, Rick (Bev) Grinstead; and dozens of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Carol Grinstead; father-in-law, Dewey Grinstead Jr.; four brothers, Floyd "Smoke" Huggins, William "Bill" Huggins, Jimmie Huggins, Tommie Huggins; two sisters-in-law, Marlene Huggins, Betty Anne Huggins; and a brother-in-law, Jimmie Munn. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Jon Klaus officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Davis County Dollars for Scholars.
