Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jessie Lee and Jewell Copeland and Charlie Copeland, all of Celina; two daughters and one son-in-law, Hazel Willis, Celina and Anna Rose and Douglas Cherry, Cookeville; six brothers, George Emerton, Charles Emerton, Fred Emerton, and Ray Emerton, all of Celina, Glen Emerton, Indianapolis, IN, and Howard Emerton, Livingston; one sister, Lucy Copeland, Celina; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mrs. Copeland's grandsons.
