Description	:	Rose Laura (Martin) Walton, age 99, of Bristol and formally of Webster passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at the Sun Dial Manor Nursing Home in Bristol, SD. Rose L. Walton, daughter of Egnatz and Josephine (Schultz) Martin was born August 30, 1908 in Bristol, SD one of 13 children. Rose married Dell Walton on June 18, 1931, and together farmed for Egeland Township until the fall of 1934, when they purchased a farm home in Wheatland Township. They farmed approximately 360 acres and remained on the farm, just South of Webster until 1987.... Walton, daughter of Egnatz and Josephine (Schultz) Martin was born August 30, 1908 in Bristol, SD one of 13 children. Rose married Dell Walton on June 18, 1931, and together farmed for Egeland Township until the fall of 1934, when they purchased a farm home in Wheatland Township. They farmed approximately 360 acres and remained on the farm, just South of Webster until 1987. Both Rose and Dell were members of the St. Johns Lutheran Church and Rose was a member of the St. Miriam Circle in Webster. Upon retiring in 1987 they bought a small house on 6th Ave West in Webster and lived there together for seven years. Dell passed away on July 23, 1994. Rose remained in her home until December 2003, at which time she entered the Sun Dial Nursing Home where she enjoyed visiting with family and many old friends. Rose is survived by her sister Mary (Martin) Blakely, Bellevue, NE; niece Delores C. (Martin) Pries, Parkston, SD and niece Judy (Mitchell) Biegler, Aberdeen, SD, nephews Don Martin and Bob Martin both of Bristol, SD, along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. William Olsen officiating, burial will be at the Webster Cemetery. Arrangements by Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster.
