Description	:	Brief mention was made in our last issue of the death of Mrs R.D. Hopkins, which occurred Tuesday evening of last week. Mrs Hopkins had not been in the best of health for some time, but up until a few minutes before she expired was feeling as well as usual. Mrs Hopkins had not been in the best of health for some time, but up until a few minutes before she expired was feeling as well as usual. She was sitting in a chair when she called to her husband saying that everything was getting black and that she felt so queer. Mr Hopkins assisted her to the couch and death followed in a short time. Mrs Hopkins was well and favorably known to most of the people of this part of the county and held in high regard by those who knew her best. She was a loyal wife and mother and her death is an irreparable loss to the fmaily. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Christian church, conducted by Rev Roper, and interment was in Memory cemetery. Rose Lodema Kemery was born in Taylor county on Feb 21, 1876, and departed this life, Tuesday May 21, 1918, at 4:30 pm, aged 42 years and 3 months. On March 21, 1891, she was united in marriage to Richard D. Hopkins. To this union were born 8 children, six preceding her to the better world. She had been ailing for sometime but was very patient with her suffering. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one daughter Mrs Ruth Huntsman and husband, of Bedford, Iowa; one son Lester J. and wife of this place; two grandchildren, Leonard and Helen; one sister, Francis Bownes, of Sheridan, Mo., one brother, Al Kemery of Maloy, Ia., 3 half sisters Mabel Russell, Bessie McCormick and Jennie Trumbo all of Bedford, Frank, Mont, Lynn, Delay Kemery, all of Sheridan, Mo., besides a host of friends.
