Description	:	Rose Marie Joseph, 67, of 40 Smiley Ave. died Thursday from injuries received in an automobile accident on the Maine Turnpike in Wells. She was born in Augusta, a daughter of Joseph and Anne Marie Annie Poulin Croteau, attended Augusta and Winslow schools and was a 1944 graduate of Winslow High School. Mrs. Joseph joined Federal Trust Bank in Waterville in 1952 and was promoted to assistant treasurer in 1964. In 1968 she was promoted to assistant vice president and later to vice president, retiring in 1988. She also served on the boards of Waterville Osteopathic Hospital, Mount St. Joseph... She was born in Augusta, a daughter of Joseph and Anne Marie Annie Poulin Croteau, attended Augusta and Winslow schools and was a 1944 graduate of Winslow High School. Mrs. Joseph joined Federal Trust Bank in Waterville in 1952 and was promoted to assistant treasurer in 1964. In 1968 she was promoted to assistant vice president and later to vice president, retiring in 1988. She also served on the boards of Waterville Osteopathic Hospital, Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Waterville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Waterville YMCA. She was active with the Credit Women's International of Waterville, the National Association of Bank Women, Bank Administration Institute, and served as director of the United Way. She was active in banking organizations, the Finance Authority of Maine and the American Institute of Banking, of which she completed courses in conjunction with Thomas College. She was a catalyst for keeping members of her high school class together throughout the years, and the class recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. She was instrumental in creating a scholarship fund which provides a scholarship for a Winslow High School graduating senior, and was treasurer of the fund for several years. Surviving are her husband, Charles Joseph; two daughters, Roseanna Joseph of Winslow and Mrs. Bruce (Janis) McGhee of Livermore; a brother, Joseph R. Poulin of Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Muriel Begin of North Providence, R.I.; and four grandchildren. Burial will be in the family lot at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
