Description	:	Rosa Mari Rasmussen, the daughter of Perry Stanton and Gertie (Vanderbilt) Elsberry, was born at Osmond, Nebraska on December 28, 1903 and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on August 8, 1981 at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 10 days. She was raised in Verdigre, Nebraska. On August 19, 1925 she was united in marriage to James Rasmussen at Center, Nebraska. Their early marriage was spent in Antelope County and then to Holt County where she lived until her retirement. They then moved to Norfolk, Nebraska where she lived until her husband's death in 1962. Rosa then lived with her children in various places. Rosa was a charter member of the Community Bible Church in Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant daughter. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her two sons, Rev. Marlin Rasmussen of Marquette and Rev. Alston Rasmussen of York; four daughters, Bernice Cash of Adams, Geneva Sherman of Dillon, Colorado, Vergene Polk of Lincoln and Marilyn Crane of Farmington, Minnesota; four brothers, Harold Elsberry of Brunswick, Earl Elsberry of Royal, Clayton Elsberry of O'Neill and Milo Elsberry of Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Alda Albers of Persia, Iowa and Lela Jensen of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
