She returned to her home in Greensboro Bend in 1988 to live with her nephew and his wife, Henry and Alexina Mercier. Later she resided with her grand-niece, Jeannette Brochu in Hardwick until moving to the McKerley Health Care Center in Morrisville. Arrangements were under the direction of John des Groseilliers, Holcomb-des Groseilliers Funeral Home, Church Street, Hardwick, Vermont. A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, July 10 at St. Michael's Church in Greensboro Bend. Father Donald Ritchie officiated. Mrs. Denise Fradette was the organist with the ladies of St. Michael's Church accompanying. The pall bearers were Leonal Broche, Michael Brochu, David Brochu, Lawrence Mercier, James Philbrook, and Roger Boone. Interment following the Mass was in St. Michael's Cemetery.
