Description	:	Rose Sorge, 94, Bismarck, died Oct. 10, 2013 in a Bismarck care center. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 14, at 10:30 a.m., at the Evangel Temple Assembly of God with Rev. Doug Graham officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Rose was born Feb. 24, 1919 to Peter and Katherina (Schmeier) Mindt in Blue Grass, ND. She was raised in Blue Grass on the family farm and married Fred Sorge on Sept. 26, 1937 and to this union three daughters were born. Fred and Rose farmed in the Blue Grass area until moving to Bismarck in 1945. Together they kept busy with running the City Motel, Fred's Laundromat and with people thinking that they were realtors with the homes that they bought and sold. After retiring they enjoyed traveling. Rose enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Her family was very important to her. Rose was involved with her church and was a prayer warrior. She looked forward to Saturday's when she would dress up and go shopping with her sisters. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Shaw, Post Falls, ID and Carol (Louie) Baltrusch, Bismarck; grandchildren, Linda (Ron) Gray, Tami (George) Vaught, Della Akin, Kim (Todd) Bloom, Ronda Baltrusch, and Kyle (Jen) Baltrusch; thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Ida Mindt and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends, Marion Iverson, Marge Kroh and Eileen Schaff. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1989; her parents; her daughter Eileen in 2003; 8 sisters and 4 brothers.
