She was born in Walden, Lunenburg County to the late Lemuel Stewart Zinck and Susanna Elizabeth (Joudrey) into a family of eleven, three boys and eight girls. Rosella was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her grandfather, Joseph Zinck came over on the May Flower from Germany. Read More	Rosella Adellia (Zinck) Meister - 92, of New Ross, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at home. She was born in Walden, Lunenburg County to the late Lemuel Stewart Zinck and Susanna Elizabeth (Joudrey) into a family of eleven, three boys and eight girls. Rosella was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her grandfather, Joseph Zinck came over on the May Flower from Germany. Rosella's mother died when Rosella was nine years old and she took her mother's place at a very young age. She also worked in the woods beside her father. After she married, she moved to New Ross where she was a mid-wife for many years. She enjoyed making maple syrup and sugar each spring. Our mother will be fondly remembered by her many friends for her door always being open and her home cooking and baking. She was predeceased by her husband, John Calvin Meister, New Ross. She is survived by her children, Alberta (Chester Keddy), New Ross; Gloria (Bruce Gates), Ardoise, Hants County; Elaine (Barry Russell), New Ross; Carolyn (Clayton Eisnor), Chester Basin; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the New Ross Baptist Church, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, Reverend David Hine officiating. Burial will take place in the New Ross Baptist Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Royal Canadian Legion, New Ross. Donations in memory may be made to the New Ross Baptist Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
