Description	:	Rosella C. Mamot, 97, of Grand Island, formerly of St. Libory, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Primrose Retirement Community in Grand Island. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Libory Catholic Church. The Rev. Sidney B. Bruggeman will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery in St. Libory. Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Mamot was born on April 23, 1917, at St. Libory, the daughter of Bernard “Ben” and Mary (Evers) Boehle. She was united in marriage to Zenon W. Mamot on March 9, 1938, at St. Libory. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1972. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry B. Mamot. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jim A. and Vi Mamot of St. Libory; and a daughter-in-law and her husband, Nancy (Mamot) and Ned Meier of Grand Island. She also leaves to cherish her memory, six grandchildren and their spouses, Daron and Tammy Mamot and Susanne and Tony Guyette of St. Libory, Dayla Mamot-Sack and Jon Sack of Grand Island, Kevin and Valara Mamot of St. Libory, Brenda and Tharin Peters of Grand Island and LaRae Richards of North Platte; and 20 great-grandchildren. Rosella grew up on the family farm and attended St. Libory’s Parochial School. She then worked for several St. Libory area families in their homes. Rosella and Zenon farmed, raised cattle and did custom trucking, all of which later became Mamot Feed Lots and Trucking. She enjoyed the farm along with her chores, gardening, cooking and baking, maintaining a perfect yard and praying the rosary. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, serving them her famous chocolate chip cookies and playing cards and checkers with them. She was a lifelong member of the St. Libory’s Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women. She was also a member of the Platt-Duetsche Society of Grand Island, where she looked forward to monthly luncheons and playing cards with the ladies. She had resided at Primrose Retirement Community in Grand Island since November 2009. In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Rebecca Mamot, Allan Mamot and Monty Mamot; two brothers, Conrad Boehle and Frank Boehle; and three sisters, Mildred Clark, Elizabeth Cahalane and Mary Ann Hauger.
