Funeral services for Rosie will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree. Rev. Vitalis Torwel and Parish Life Coordinator, Carol Kaalberg will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Rosella Margurite Bopp was born on September 22, 1918 in Richmond, Iowa, the daughter of John and Margaret (Lytle) Bopp. On August 28, 1943, Rosie was united in marriage to Raymond W. Herring in Iowa City. Following Raymond's death, Rosie married Harry William Attig on December 30, 1965, in Kahoka, Missouri. Rosie helped on the family farm, sold AVON for 10 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree and enjoyed playing cards with the girls, dancing, and was a reading buddy at the Lone Tree Elementary. . Rosella will be deeply missed by her daughter, Beverly J. Black and her husband, Dr. Paul, of Davenport; one grandson, Toby Black, of Cedar Rapids and one sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Idle of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Raymond and Harry, three brothers, Walter Bopp, Ralph Bopp and Omer Bopp, and one sister, Helen Rotenburger. courtesy of Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services
