She suffered a stroke of paralysis several days previous. The daughter of RUDOLPH and ALICE WHITE ALTEKRUSEe , she was born in Seventy-Six township, Muscatine county, on May 22, 1877, and was married to WALTER Leroy Shellabarger on March 27, 1901. His death occurred on Aug. 27, 1947. For many years Mrs. Shellabarger was a teacher in the Muscatine county schools. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. IDA SCOTT of Palo Alto, Calif., and Mrs. MARY WALTS of Muscatine; two brothers, SAMUEL C. Altekruse and CLARK A. Altekruse, both of Seventy-Six township; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. MILDRED Shellabarger, two grandchildren, Richard Shellabarger of Muscatine and Mrs. Mary Alice MAYHALL of St. Louis, and one great grandson, Henry Mayhall. In addition to her husband, a son, CLARK preceded her in death in 1940. The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funeral in Muscatine but will be brought to Letts Tuesday. Services will be Tuesday at the Letts Methodist church with the Rev. Paul Textor, pastor in charge. Burial will be in the Letts cemetery
