Read More	Published in The Rochester Sentinel Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Rosellen ‘Dixie' Hunter May 20, 1922-Oct. 11, 2008 Rosellen "Dixie" HUNTER, 86, of 315 W. 13th St., died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Hospital. Born, on May 20, 1922, in Marshall County, Rosellen was the daughter of William and Edna Wooldridge Dickson. She lived in Fulton County for 63 years, coming from Marshall County after graduating from Culver High School in 1940. On Aug. 5, 1944, in Marshall County, she married Nelson G. Hunter, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hunter retired from Hart Schaffner & Marx of Rochester in 1985 after 27 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, the Fulton County Campers Association and the Florida Red Hat Society. She was a 4-H leader, a Girl Scout Leader and a life guard and gave swimming lessons. She liked to read romantic novels, crochet afghans for babies and make homemade noodles. She enjoyed making people laugh, dressing up like Santa Claus and eating breakfast with a group of friends on Friday morning. Survivors include four daughters, Lynda McCloughan and husband Ted, Rochester, Wanda Wilhelm and husband Richard of Macy, Kay Eiler and husband Robert, Alexandria and Patsy Rowe, Peru; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson Brent McCloughan; a great-grandson, Colt McCloughan; a son-in-law, Patrick Rowe; a sister, Betty Ward; and three brothers, Ernest, William and Wayne Dickson. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St. (Indiana 14 West), with Pastor Kate Gandy officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County and to the American Cancer Society.
