Read More	Rosemary "Rosie" (Hudson) Logston January 6, 1945 ~ June 13, 2019 (age 74) Rosemary “Rosie” Sue Logston, age 74, of Cincinnati, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Rosie was born on January 6, 1945 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of William Arthur and Josephine (Conger) Hudson. She graduated from Centerville High School, with the Class of 1962. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Logston on October 26, 1963. To this union, two children were born, Rob and Ron. After high school, Rosie worked for McGraw-Edison in Centerville. She left McGraw-Edison to work for the Cincinnati Elementary School system as a secretary. Rosie truly cared about every child that went through the school system, even after they were out of school. She worked there for at least thirty-nine years until her retirement. In her younger years, Rosie loved going skating at the Cincinnati Skating Rink with her friends. Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed taking trips with her family, birdwatching, attending auctions, feeding the deer at the lake, arrowhead hunting, and collecting antique glassware. She was very fond of taking care of her flower beds. Rosie was very well known for being a kind hearted person, who gave the best, most memorable hugs. She loved spending time with her friends and family. On Halloween, every year, children from all over would come to her house for one of her famous popcorn balls. Left to cherish Rosie’s memory include her husband, Bob Logston of Cincinnati; her children, Rob Logston of Cincinnati, and Ron (Barb) Logston of Cincinnati; her brothers, Jerry (Bonnie) Hudson and Glen Hudson; a special niece, Veronica “Toots” (Kirk) Montgomery; as well as several family and friends, whom will all miss her dearly. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Josephine Hudson; a brother, Ronnie Hudson; and an infant sibling, Richard Hudson. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Holly Oden officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. A visitation will take place Monday, June 17, 2019 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 6:00-8:00PM. Memorials have been established to Bob Logston, to be determined at a later date, and may be dropped off or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
