Description	:	PLEASANTVILLE: Rosemond E. Gartrell, 78, berloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 after several years of coping with Myotonic Dystrophy, Type 2. After her graduation from Malta-McConnelsville High School in 1953, she worked as a stenographer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation until her marriage to Albert D. (Sonny) Gartrell. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Raymond) Lynch; he children, Kathryn (Gary) Jenkins, Stephen Gartrell, Michael Gartrell, Douglas (Christine) Gartrell and Margaret (James) Smith; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Following cremation, burial will be at the Floral Hills Memory Garden, Lancaster, Ohio on June 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rather than a memorial service there will be a private celebration of the lives odf Sonny and Rosemond by their family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to University of Rochester Medical Center, Neurology Department with Myotonic Dystrophy Research in the subject line of the check.
