Mrs. Chappell was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Libral (sic), MO, to Louis [sic: Lewis] and Olive Fritter. At the age of 4, she moved with her family to Durham, where she was reared and educated. "She was employed as a bus driver for the Durham Unified School District for 23 years. She also worked at the Riverside Convalescent Hospital, retiring in 1976. "Survivors include two sons, Walter... "The Rev. Wendell Pew of the First Christian Church will officiate at the service. Burial will be at the Clear Creek Cemetery.
