Mrs. Gifford was a Marion resident years ago, later living in Cedar Rapids and Kenwood Park. Her home in the latter place was sold to the Presbyterians and is now used as a church. The funeral was held this (Thursday) afternoon at Pingrey's chapel, with the Rev. A.H. Hanscom officiating. Interment in Oak Shade cemetery.
