Read More	Roseville Mark Lohnes 2003 Halifax Chronicle Herald (From the collection of Charlene Veinotte) Roseville Mark Lohnes, 82, Lunenburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at home. Born at Rhodes Corner, he was a son of the late Ellsworth and L. Jean (Crouse) Lohnes. He served during the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Later he worked at National Sea Products, Lunenburg and then worked at the CNR Express. Rozzie then went to work at the Lunenburg Post Office until his retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg, for 56 years. He was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, member of the male choir, past treasurer, past Sunday School teacher and a member of the church council. He was a member of the Bluenose Senior Citizens' Bridge Club and a member of the Lunenburg Curling Club for 25 years. He is survived by daughter, Diane Lohnes, Toronto; sister, Phyllis and husband Herbert Zinck, Lunenburg; loving companion, Eva Aulenback, Blockhouse; granddaughter, Cristina and husband Paul Lorentz, Waterloo, Ontario; several nieces and nephews; several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Ruth Marguerite Crouse. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg with visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Douglas Moore officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23 or a charity of your choice. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
