Puffer 72, who passed away on Jan 2, 1945 The services were held at the Schafer and Peck Funeral home and was in charge of Rev. C.R. Tanner, Methodist minister. Burial was made at Decatur. Rosia Abagill Gilliland, daughter of Francis M. and Wealthy Abagill Gilliland, was born August 28, 1872, near Chillikata, Iowa and passed away at her home in Tekamah January 2, 1945 at the age of 72 years, 4months and 5 days. She came with her parents to Nebraska in 1878 and lived on a farm near Blair, She was united in marriage to Abner C. Puffer at Blair, Nebraska June 30, 1890. To this union 2 children were born both of whom preceded their mother in death, Francis Elwyn, who passed away in 1908 at the age of 8 years and Linton Orville on July 19, 1943. Mrs., Puffer lived in Burt County the greater part of her life, She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Abner C.; a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; some of whom were present for the rites. The deceased was a member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church for more than thirty years and was devoted to her church and was an active member during her residence in the vicinity in which the church was located. She was a loving wife and mother, a good neighbor and friend, always ready to lend a helping hand to the sick or those in need. She was an invalid for more than four years and was a patient sufferer to the end. The community extends its sympathy to the family in their loss.
