The deceased had been in failing health for some time but her sudden passing came as a great shock to her family and friends. She was born at Meisner's, Nova Scotia, in 1866, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Acker, and was the last and youngest remaining member of a family of 14. The deceased had been in failing health for some time but her sudden passing came as a great shock to her family and friends. She was born at Meisner's, Nova Scotia, in 1866, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Acker, and was the last and youngest remaining member of a family of 14. In her immediate family, there survive her husband; one daugher; and four sons. They are Florence (Mrs. Martin Whynot) of Cherryfield; Whitford, Cherryfield; Murray, Clementsvale; William, Truro; and Archie, New Germany. She was predeceased by seven other children. There also survive her 34 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 30, at 10 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Wallace Minke. Pall bearers were Harris Holland, Sanford Deal, Fred Daniels, and Jacob Daniels and interment took place in the North River Cemetery.
