Description	:	Rosmary Helen Schwandt, 75, of Bismarck passed away on August 16, 2013 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 20 at 11am at the Church of Corpus Christi with the Rev. Paul Becker officiating. A private burial will be held at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Underwood. Rosmary was born on April 4, 1938 to William and Helen (Liebel) Schwandt in Underwood, ND. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1956 and Bismarck Junior College (BJC) in 1957. She worked for 44 years for the Associated General Contractors of North Dakota as a secretary. While working for the AGC, she also worked for the Redi-Mix Association, Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA) and the North Dakota Golf Association. She finished up her working career at St. Vincent's Care Center where she worked for 6 years until her retirement in 2007. Rosmary had a passion for life and had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. From an early age, she was fearless growing up on the farm – she loved all the animals and being outside. She loved picking juneberries. She was known for her baking skills from her mint chocolate chip cookies to banana bread to everything in between. She bowled for over 25 years and was the State Scratch Champion one year. She could type over 100 words per minute on a manual typewriter. She loved to travel. But of all the things she did, the thing she did best was love her family. While she didn't have any children of her own, she raised her niece, Suzy, with her sister, Kay, with whom she lived. Rosmary and Kay were known to many as "the girls". She always said she was a "great" aunt, even before she was. She was a godmother and aunt to many and beloved by all who knew her. She was selfless and went out of her way to make everyone else feel loved and important. She will be dearly missed by her sister Kay Schwandt, Bismarck, and Kay's daughter Suzy (Rich) Schulz, Eden Prairie, MN; her sister Shirley Fetch, Bismarck and her children Casey (Scott) Schmidt, Diane Lind, Barb Bianco, Jennifer Johnson, Mick (Janette) Fetch, Joe (Rhonda) Fetch and Coreen Ryan, all of Bismarck; Lester's son Charlie (Cecily) Schwandt, Jacksonville, FL; Ernie's children Rod (Linda) Schwandt, Burlington; Mary Kay Schwandt, Bill (Cheryl) Schwandt, Andy (Renee) Schwandt and Bob (Shelly) Schwandt, all of Fargo; special friend, Donna Johnson, Bismarck and countless godchildren, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Helen Schwandt, brothers and sisters-in-law Ernie and Doreen Schwandt and Lester and Nilla Schwandt and one niece, Peggy Schwandt.
