Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna Millsap and his brothers, Gene and Bill Owsley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeannie Millsap, his daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Mark Bergenske and Cheryl and David Andersen, and his brother and his wife, Blue and Ronie Millsap. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Mason Bergenske, Kyla Bergenske, Alyssa Andersen, Alivia Andersen, and Madilyn Andersen. Ross was raised in Pepperwood by his grandparents, Henry and Florence Millsap. He was a survivor of the 1964 flood when his family home was washed away. Ross was employed at the Pacific Lumber Company for 22 years. He loved the outdoors. His greatest passions were hunting, fishing and his vegetable garden. He is well known for growing the most delicious tomatoes and took great care when overseeing the planting each year by his family. We all knew we had to follow his directions exactly and keep busy at our jobs, or we would hear about it! Ross was a hard working man who spent much of his time working outside. He built fences, raised cattle, cleared his property, rode horses, roped, hunted, trapped and fished. Ross will be remembered for his independence, stubbornness, and loyalty. A memorial service will be held at the Bull Creek Cemetery on Monday, June 18 at 1:00 with a potluck reception following at Rohner Park in Fortuna.
