Description	:	Rossie Litton's death certificate may be seen in familysearch.org. According to that certificate, she died on June 26, 1915, which agrees with the date on her gravestone. The obituary that I have transcribed below, in the name of Rosie Litton, stated that she died, "Sunday evening," which would have been June 27, in 1915. This date appears to be incorrect. Rossie's death certificate also gave her date of birth as December 6, 1867, which is different than the date of December 14, 1866 on her gravestone. I do not know for certain which date is correct, and for the purposes of this memorial, I am using the date on her gravestone as per findagrave guidelines. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier," Tuesday, June 29, 1915, Page 8: Mrs. Rosie Litton. Mrs. Rosie Litton died at her home, 214 West Wilson street, at 5:30 Sunday evening, at the age of 47 [sic] years. She is survived by her husband, William Litton; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Herold, Mrs. Miriam Flo Sherican and Mrs. Fern Mohler, all of Ottumwa, and one son, Charles of Ottumwa. Interment will be made in the Shaul cemetery, services being held at the house at 2 p.m.
