Description	:	Rowena B. Morrell passed away on Sunday, Sept 20, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness. She was age 101. Born at home in Netcong, NJ to parents Howard Trezise and his wfe, Edith Hilts. Read More	Rowena B. Morrell passed away on Sunday, Sept 20, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness. She was age 101. Born at home in Netcong, NJ to parents Howard Trezise and his wfe, Edith Hilts. Rowena grew up there, graduating from Netcong High School in 1932. It was in school that she met her life-long sweetheart and future husband, Howard Morrell. They were married for 67 years. Before and during her early years of marriage she worked in the Netcong Cleaners Shop. While husband Howard was serving four years in the US Army in the Pacific during WWII, she kept their home on Dell Ave, Netcong. In 1950 Rowena and Howard relocated to their new residence on Route 206, Roxbury Township where they spent the rest of their lives. Rowena was a dedicated, life-long member of the Stanhope United Methodist Church where she taught the Sunday School nursery class for 50 years and served as Church Secretary for 30 years. For decades she chaired the Annual Church Rummage Sale and an Attic Treasures booth at the Annual Fall Bazaar, raising funds for many church projects. Rowena was an active supporter of her sons, Bruce and Brian as they participated first in Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts, helping with fundraising efforts to support Boy Scout Troop 54 in Succasunna. In addition she was a Charter Member of the Musconetcong Foundrymen Historical Society in Netcong and Stanhope. Not only a dedicated and nurturing parent to her two sons and grandparent to her 2 grandchildren, Rowena & Howard for many years helped various seniors from the local community who had no one else to look out for their welfare. Rowena is predeceased by her husband and is survived by her 2 sons. Additional survivors are granddaughter Brenda; grandson Marc and great-grandson Colin, all of Long Island. A funeral service will be held Sept. 26th at the Stanhope United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery.
