Description	:	Roxie (Newbold) Brown Marsh, 93, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Kearney County Health Services Long Term Care Unit in Minden. Services were held Monday at United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Mrs. Marsh was born Feb. 16, 1908, to Warren D. and Erma (Bloomfield) Newbold in Kearney County. She graduated from Minden High School in 1927 and taught country school in the Newark area. Mrs. Marsh was born Feb. 16, 1908, to Warren D. and Erma (Bloomfield) Newbold in Kearney County. She graduated from Minden High School in 1927 and taught country school in the Newark area. On July 31, 1929, she married J. Harold Brown. They lived on a farm north of Minden until 1945 when they moved into Minden. In 1953, they built and moved into a house north of Minden, living there until they retired from farming in 1978. Her husband died in 1982. In May 1985, she married Arvin Marsh. They lived in Minden. She moved to the Long Term Care Unit in May 1992. Her husband died in 1995. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the women's group and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the LLL Extension Club. Survivors are one daughter, Bonnie Westengaard of Minden; one son, Joe H. Brown of Rockport, Texas; one sister, Mildred Muller of New Ulm, Minn.; one brother, Vernon of Hershey, Pa.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
