Roy Allen Feyerisen was born on February 2, 1960 to Edward and Violet (Klos) Feyerisen in Watertown, SD. He was raised in Castlewood where he graduated from Castlewood High School in 1978. Roy married Sheila Jurgens on August 30, 1986 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Roy worked in construction and later was owner/operator of his own trucking business, where he drove over the road for various companies for many years. He also helped many area farmers with milking on their dairy farms prior to working for the City of Castlewood. In 1995 he began working at Terex where he truly enjoyed his job and the people he worked with. Roy had a heart transplant on Christmas Eve of 2008. He was currently employed at Terex at the time of his death. Roy had a love for Case tractors, working in his shop, camping, fishing and watching George Lopez reruns. Roy's greatest pleasure was watching his boys grow up. He loved spending time with his family and going to his boys sporting events. After his heart transplant, his family and the love of his life became his most treasured moments. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Spencer; and daughter, Katie. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Sheila and their sons, Jordan and Jackson of Castlewood, and Roy's son, Zach of Arizona; his father and mother-in-law, Richard (Darlene) Jurgens of Watertown, SD; his sister-in-law, Sherise (Shannon) Kauffman of Madison, SD; a brother-in-law, Sherman Jurgens of Watertown; his aunt, Beulah Barnes of California; his sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Falk of Castlewood, SD, Betty (Elmer) Walkins of Morrison, CO, Jeanne (Greg) Morgan of Mellette, SD, Bev (Joel) Frohling of Groton, SD, Sue (Roger) Lauseng and Patty (Steve) Rasmussen all of Watertown, SD, Marilyn Trottier of South Royalton, VT, Helen Parker (Steve Schulte) of Ruthton, MN; his brother, Nick Feyerisen of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. ~Obituary courtesy of Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel
