Description	:	Roy Azel Babcock, 73, former partner of a truck body manufacturing company, J.H. Babcock and Sons, who died recently at Glencoe Residence, was buried at Wilton Cemetery. He was born at Odessa, a son of the late John H. Babcock and his wife, the former Effie Buck, and had spent his lifetime in the immediate area. He was born at Odessa, a son of the late John H. Babcock and his wife, the former Effie Buck, and had spent his lifetime in the immediate area. Mr. Babcock attended Emmanuel United Church where he was a Sunday school treasurer for 53 years. Mr. Babcock was a trustee of the Ernestown Public School Board for 20 years, beginning in 1949; and a member of the Lennox and Addington County Board of Education from 1969 through 1972. He was a member of the Masonic Order, Prince Arthur Lodge No. 228, and formerly a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Mr. Babcock was also a charter member of Odessa Lions Club. He leaves three sons, Ross and Donald Babcock, both of Odessa; John of Napanee; and step-children Mervyn Jessup, Ottawa; Mrs. Bill (Shirley) Sheady, Picton; Mrs. Ken (Marilyn) Linkie, Oshawa; Brian, Calvin and Miles Jessup, all of Oshawa. He was predeceased by two wives, Francis Pringle and Marjorie Jessup, and two brothers, Oscar and Dean. Rev. Robert McVety officiated at a funeral service and the pallbearers were Harold Burley, Douglas and Carmen Smith, Don and Les Potter, and Bruce Todd. From the Napanee Beaver.
