Description	:	ROY C. AUSTIN Roy was born to Wilbur and Grace Austin on the Riverbend Ranch in Parlier and passed away, surrounded by his family. Roy proudly served his country overseas form 1942 - 1945. He married his loving wife Arline in July of 1946. Roy was an active member of the American Legion Parlier Post-36 and a charter member of the Parlier Lions Club as well as past District Governor of District 4A2. AUSTIN Roy was born to Wilbur and Grace Austin on the Riverbend Ranch in Parlier and passed away, surrounded by his family. Roy proudly served his country overseas form 1942 - 1945. He married his loving wife Arline in July of 1946. Roy was an active member of the American Legion Parlier Post-36 and a charter member of the Parlier Lions Club as well as past District Governor of District 4A2. He received the Silver Beaver award for his volunteer work with the Boy Scouts. Roy worked for almost 50 years in agriculture chemicals. He was the "Bug Man" to many growers. Even in retirement, Roy was never idle. His hobbies included woodworking and gardening. He was constantly working on new projects on his home and yard. Roy and Arline moved to Reedley in 1983, where they held many celebrations, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Roy was a wonderful host. He was never at a loss for words and always had a story to tell. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Grace Austin; his brothers, Charles, Marvin, and James Austin; and grandson, Michael Lozano. He is survived by his wife Arline; his daughters, Kristi Lozano and her husband Rod, Sherrie Pagones and her husband Dennis, and Kathie Villalobos and her husband Joe; son, Randy Austin and his wife Eleanor; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Wallin's Parlier Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2007, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Wallin's Parlier Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., with interment at Mendocino Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Parlier Lions Club, P.O. Box 755, Parlier, CA, 93648; First United Methodist Church, 1461 11th St., Reedley, CA, 93654; or to the donor's favorite charity.
