Description	:	Roy E. Wiebe was born on June 1, 1925, to Henry R. and Anna Ensz Wiebe, at Inman, Kansas. After a brief illness he passed away on May 18, 1995, at Huron, South Dakota, nearing his seventieth birthday. Dad grew up in the Inman, Kansas, community. Wiebe was born on June 1, 1925, to Henry R. and Anna Ensz Wiebe, at Inman, Kansas. After a brief illness he passed away on May 18, 1995, at Huron, South Dakota, nearing his seventieth birthday. Dad grew up in the Inman, Kansas, community. In his youth he answered the call of the Savior and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on March 27, 1940, by Min. H. A. Ensz. On September 25, 1949, he was married to me, Dessie Ratzlaff, at the Lone Tree Congregation, Galva, Kansas. We shared the joys and sorrows of life for over forty-five years. Our union was blessed with three sons and two daughters. We resided for three and one-half years at Inman, Kansas. In May 1953, we moved to South Dakota where we were engaged in farming. We moved to Osceola, South Dakota, in 1991 to enjoy our retirement years. Dad's strong faith in God was an inspiration to us. He had a concern for our spiritual welfare, often naming his children and grandchildren in prayer. We expect to meet him in heaven someday. Those left to cherish fond memories are me, his companion, Dessie; four children: Marilynn and Ken Fricke, Grafton, North Dakota; Linda and Wes Toews, DeSmet, South Dakota; Delton and Victoria, Yale, South Dakota; and Danny and Sharon, Iroquois, South Dakota; fourteen grandchildren; our mother, Linda Wiebe, Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada; two sisters: Arlene and Wilbert Giesbrecht, Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; and Phyllis and Bev Toews, Mount Lehman, British Columbia, Canada; and one step-sister, Margaret and Milton Warketin, Cartwright, Manitoba, Canada. He was preceded in death by one son, Dale, and his parents. Funeral services were held on May 21, 1995, at the Faith Mennonite Church, Iroquois, South Dakota, with Ministers Raymond Ensz and Phil Penner in charge. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.
