Description	:	Roy Edwin Imhof was born March 8, 1896 near Upland Nebraska to August and Julia (Mehlen) Imhof. He died March 3, 1995 at the Holdrege hospital just 5 days before his 99th birthday. He attended a rural grade school southeast of Upland and graduated from the Upland High School. On March 12, 1919 he married Grace Jane Husband. Two children were born to this union [names omitted]. They farmed near Upland and had a dairy herd of cows and delivered milk in Upland several years. They moved near Selden, Kansas in 1930. They continued farming there and near Colby, Kansas until moving to Nebraska... Read More	Roy Edwin Imhof was born March 8, 1896 near Upland Nebraska to August and Julia (Mehlen) Imhof. He died March 3, 1995 at the Holdrege hospital just 5 days before his 99th birthday. He attended a rural grade school southeast of Upland and graduated from the Upland High School. On March 12, 1919 he married Grace Jane Husband. Two children were born to this union [names omitted]. They farmed near Upland and had a dairy herd of cows and delivered milk in Upland several years. They moved near Selden, Kansas in 1930. They continued farming there and near Colby, Kansas until moving to Nebraska near Indianola in 1957. They farmed in this area until 1963. Because of ill health he gave up the farm and moved to Arapahoe. He continued his farming interest in Selden, Kansas and again started in the hog business, which he continued until his retirement at age 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Grace in 1989, an infant son Vyrl, his son-in-law Dale Garton, his brother George and sister Lena Fries and two nephews. He leaves to mourn his daughter, granddaughter and husband, and four great grandchildren. One brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. [Survivors names omitted.] He was a member of the Methodist Church, which he was active in as long as he was able. A Farm Bureau member. A member of a men's chorus and sang in a male barbershop quarter which furnished entertainment for various events in a wide area. He have lived at Methodist Memorial Homes in Holdrege since August 1990.—Williamson Funeral Home
